the short version

We keep the email address you sign up with, your display name and picture, your mailing-list choice and your comments. Your email is used to log you in and, only if you said yes, for mysp8c's mailing list. No ads, no tracking, and your email isn't sold.

what we keep

• When you sign up: your email address, password, display name, the preset picture you picked, and whether you want the mailing list. Your password is handled by Supabase's login system and stored hashed, so nobody (mysp8c included) can read it. The login system also records when you signed up and when you last logged in.
• When you comment: what you wrote, which post (or the profile wall) it's on, and when.
• When you look around: nothing about you. The profile view counter is a single number and doesn't record who looked. Like any website, the services that run the site (listed below) see your IP address and browser details when you connect, and keep their own technical logs.

what's public

Public: your display name, your picture, the date you joined, and your comments. Private: your email address and your mailing-list choice. Only you and the people who run the site can see those.

When a comment is deleted (by you or by mysp8c) it disappears from the site, but its text stays in the database until your account is deleted.

the mailing list

• At signup there's a box that says "send me mysp8c news + drops by email". It starts ticked. Untick it and you're not on the list.
• You can change your mind any time on your account page.
• Every mailing-list email has an unsubscribe link.
• To send one, mysp8c exports the addresses of the people who said yes and sends the email through Resend. Your email isn't sold or handed to anyone else.

where it lives

• Supabase stores the database (accounts, comments, settings) and the site's pictures, on servers in the United States.
• Cloudflare serves the website itself.
• Resend sends the site's emails (like password resets) and the mailing list.

cookies (kind of)

The site doesn't set ad or tracking cookies, and there's no analytics. When you log in, your browser keeps your login session in its local storage so you stay logged in; logging out clears it. The site also keeps a few tiny notes in your browser, like whether this visit already counted as a profile view.

stuff from other sites

Some things here load straight from other companies: the music player (Spotify or SoundCloud), the videos (YouTube), and the pictures in posts mirrored from Instagram and X. When your browser loads them, those companies see your IP address and may set their own cookies. Their privacy policies cover that, not this one. Links to Instagram, X, Spotify and the rest take you to their sites.

Posts marked Instagram or X are mysp8c's own public posts, copied here automatically from his accounts. Nobody else's posts are imported. His Instagram stories are kept here as an archive; if he deletes one while it's still up on Instagram, it's removed here too.

deleting ur account

There's no delete button yet. Send a message to @MYSP8C on Instagram with the email address you signed up with, and we'll delete your account. That removes your email address, profile, comments and mailing-list choice from the database, and takes you off the mailing list.
